The Office of the President of the Philippines through the Executive Secretary issued Executive Order No. 74 dated November 5, 2004 (EO No. 74) entitled – Immediate Ban on Philippine Offshore Gaming, Internet Gaming, and Other Offshore Gaming Operations in the Philippines, and for Other Purposes”.
Under EO No. 74, in the interest of national security, public safety, and maintenance of public order, as well as uphold the rule of law, the government has imposed a ban on Philippine Offshore Gaming, Internet Gaming, and Other Offshore Gaming Operations in the Philippines. Accordingly, all Philippine Offshore Gaming, Internet Gaming, and Other Offshore Gaming Operations in the Philippines shall cease operations, including winding up their affairs, on December 31, 2024 or earlier and that their respective licenses will no longer be renewed.
